Principal's Office Shaheed Naib Subedar Mohinder Kumar Government College Bahrampur (Bapauli), Panipat Press Note Health Awareness Activity Organized on the Occasion of World Health Day (April 7, 2026) On the occasion of World Health Day (April 7, 2026), the Red Ribbon Club and the National Task Force Unit of Shaheed Naib Subedar Mohinder Kumar Government College, Bahrampur (Bapauli), Panipat, jointly organized a health awareness program in collaboration with the Sub-Divisional Hospital (SDH), Samalkha, Panipat. The objective of this program was to generate awareness among students regarding HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis (TB), and mental health. To enhance the students' knowledge and encourage health awareness, a series of lectures was organized on this occasion. Addressing the students, Mr. Ravi Bhola, a Counselor from SDH Samalkha, shed detailed light on the causes and symptoms of HIV/AIDS and TB. He provided information regarding preventive measures, the importance of timely testing and treatment, and government initiatives aimed at the control and eradication of these diseases. The session proved to be highly interactive and informative. The students participated actively in the discussion and demonstrated a keen interest in understanding these serious health issues. Dr. Muniram, Assistant Professor of Psychology at GCW Matlauda, ​​Panipat, delivered an impactful lecture on the vital subject of mental health. He underscored the importance of emotional balance and stress management among students. The program was successfully anchored by Mr. Rampal, Assistant Professor of Sociology, who ensured the smooth conduct of the event. The College Principal, Dr. Ritu Nehra, lauded the guest speakers and the organizing committee, expressing her appreciation for the successful organization of such a socially significant activity. She also presented Certificates of Appreciation to Dr. Muniram and Counselor Mr. Ravi Bhola in recognition of their valuable contributions. Also present on this occasion were Mr. Amit Kumar (Assistant Professor of Physics), Mr. Khushnandan (Assistant Professor of Economics), Computer Instructor Mr. Amit Kumar, and Library Attendant Mr. Manish Dhiman, among others. Finally, Mr. Abhishek Moga—Assistant Professor of History and Coordinator of the Red Ribbon Club—proposed the vote of thanks. This program proved to be immensely beneficial in raising health awareness among the youth and encouraging responsible health-related behaviors.
